Personal work. 2012.
After Shaba Games released Spider-Man: Web of Shadows in 2008, we began work on a sequel of sorts, which would highlight many of Spidey's most notorious battles as written in the pages of the original comics. This was my take on Mysterio. My main inspiration was a desire to update the somewhat goofy design of the classic costume, and create a true villain. When Beenox took over the project later that year, (which became Shattered Dimensions) they used this concept unaltered for their Mysterio boss fight.
Another concept from the cancelled Spider-Man game. Venom figured heavily in Web of Shadows, but Carnage made no appearance, so it was only fitting that we made use of him in the next title.
Wallpaper based on the cover I made for the art book that was bundled with Spider-Man: Web of Shadows in copies of the game sold at Best Buy.
In late 2008 / early 2009, Shaba assisted Freestyle Games on the production of DJ Hero.
I created these concepts to support planned DLC and an eventual sequel.
When the design for Freefall changed from a single-player action-RPG to a multiplayer shooter, the focus for characters changed from collectible armor to distinct classes. I created these designs to begin to differentiate player roles in the new team-based game.
